Artist Biography
Jackson CarrollApprenticeJackson Carroll was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He began dancing at the age of 10 and trained at Canada’s National Ballet School. While training Jackson received the Peter Dwyer Award, Jonathan Cope Prize (Wells School), the 2009 Hnatyshyn Foundation Developing Artist Grant for Ballet and the Jeffrey Kirk Scholarship Award. As a student Jackson performed with The National Ballet of Canada in The Nutcracker and The Contract (The Pied Piper). Other ballets he has performed in include La Sylphide, Yondering and Swan Lake Act II. His favourite role was a featured role in Sabrina Matthews’ Sequentia. Why I became a dancer |
