Skylar Campbell

Apprentice

Skylar Campbell was born in Laguna Beach, California. He began his training at age 13 at The V & T Dance Academy in Orange County as well as with The National Ballet of Canada Alumni David Allan and Stephen Legate. Mr. Campbell became an Apprentice with The National Ballet of Canada in 2009.

During his training, Mr. Campbell was one of the top ten male finalists and Bronze Medal winner for pas de deux at the Youth America Grand Prix in addition to being a finalist at the Prix de Lausanne.

Mr. Campbell has performed roles in The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Who Cares? and Le Corsaire pas des deux. His favourite role is Cavalier in The Nutcracker.
 
Why I became a dancer:
“I was inspired to become a dancer because both my parents are ex-ballet dancers and I was always around dance. My parents were coaching some students and I saw how much fun they were having and I thought I should try it!”
